Rainfall and the Ganges River.
The maximum peak discharge of a river can be taken at various points. This can be done safely from a bridge. There are a variety of bridges that go over the Ganges and these include the Arrah–Chhapra Bridge, Bakhtiyarpur–Tajpur Bridge and Vikramshila Setu. The peak discharge from any river can be seen on a hydrograph which is a form of chart that shows river discharge and rainfall over time. Both river discharge and rainfall are interrelated to each other because rainfall can top up the volume of water in the Ganges and, this can effect the river discharge which is the volume of water flowing throught the river. In geography river discarge is dependent on the Ganges and the term river discharge is a definition of something dependent on a previous cyclical factor which is known as rainfall.
